Privacy Policy

Effective 28 September 2026

TINYpsa is made by Tuned MSP LLC (“we,” “us”), based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, USA. This policy explains what we collect and, more importantly, what we do not. The short version: TINYpsa is local-first software. Your business records live on your computer, we never see them, and the only things that ever leave it go to services you connected yourself. We built it that way on purpose.

The app collects nothing about your business

TINYpsa runs entirely on your own machine. Your companies, contacts, tickets, time entries, invoices, and every other record live in a data folder on your computer (C:\TINYpsa\data on Windows, /Users/Shared/TINYpsa/data on a Mac). That data is never sent to us and never uploaded to a cloud. The people who can see it are you, the teammates you give a TINYpsa sign-in, and anyone who can log in to the computer it runs on. We have no servers holding your data and no way to access it.

The app reaches the internet for only a few narrow things. None of them send your business data to us:

  • License checks. When you activate a license, the app sends your license key and your computer’s name to our payment provider, Polar, to confirm the key is valid. The computer name is what lets you tell your machines apart if you later free the key. After that the app repeats the check quietly at startup and once a day, sending only the key and an activation number Polar issued. Nothing about your business is sent, and a check that cannot run never blocks you.
  • Software updates. The app checks GitHub for new versions every few hours, downloads them in the background, and installs them the next time TINYpsa restarts or quits. This is an ordinary file download with no personal data attached.
  • Your own email, if you connect it. If you turn on email-to-ticket, the app talks directly to the mail server you configure, using credentials you provide that are encrypted and stored only on your machine. That traffic runs between your computer and your mail provider. It never passes through us. Replies you send from a ticket, and the invites you send teammates, travel the same way, so what you write goes to your mail provider like any email would.
  • Microsoft 365, if you connect it. The Microsoft 365 mailbox, Microsoft Bookings, and calendar sync features talk directly from your computer to Microsoft (login.microsoftonline.com and graph.microsoft.com) using an app registration in your own Microsoft tenant. If you turn on calendar sync, TINYpsa writes a busy block onto the assigned person’s Microsoft 365 calendar for each scheduled ticket. That block carries the ticket number, the company name, the ticket summary, the contact’s name and email address, the ticket type, and a link to the ticket on your own network. If you turn on Client Self-Scheduling, Bookings appointments are read into TINYpsa. If you cancel or move a booking from a ticket, TINYpsa sends that change to Bookings, and Microsoft notifies your client. All of that traffic runs between your computer and Microsoft. It never passes through us.

There is no analytics, no telemetry, and no tracking inside the app.

If you turn on Secure Connection, TINYpsa creates its own certificate on your computer so your team can use an https address on your network. Trusting that certificate is a step you take yourself, and nothing about it leaves your network.

One more thing worth knowing. A backup made by TINYpsa is a plain copy of your data folder: the database, your attachments, and a small key file that unlocks the email passwords and Microsoft 365 secret TINYpsa has stored. The database itself is not encrypted. Treat the backup folder as you would the data itself.

The website collects only what it needs

On our website, mytinypsa.com:

  • Contact form. If you contact us through a form, we receive the name, email address, and message you send so we can reply.
  • No trackers. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers. The site runs on WordPress, which may set basic functional cookies needed to serve the pages.

Purchases are handled by Polar

When you buy a license, payment is processed by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar collects your name, email, and payment details to complete the sale and handle sales tax. We receive your email and license information so we can deliver your key and support you. We never see or store your full payment card details. Polar’s own privacy policy covers how they handle that information.

Support

If you email support@myTINYpsa.com, we keep that correspondence so we can help you and follow up later.

How we use what little we hold

We use the small amount we collect only to sell and support the product: deliver license keys, answer questions, fix bugs, and send information you asked for. We do not sell your data. We do not share it beyond the providers named here (Polar for payments, GitHub for hosting updates, and Microsoft only if you connect a Microsoft 365 account yourself), and only as needed to run the product.

Your choices

Because we hold so little, there is not much to manage. You can email us anytime to see, correct, or delete the information we have about you, which is essentially your email address and any support history, and we will take care of it. Your local TINYpsa data is entirely yours to keep, back up, or delete.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and post the new version on this page.
